How can I continue a story?
If you have found a story that you want to continue, go to the bottom of the page and you will find a text box where you can write your text. The Character counter will help you to know how many characters you have written. When The the amount of characters is in the right interval the counter will turn from red to green to indicate that you now have enough characters to be able to submit your text. Click on the submit button and you are done.
How can I create a new story?
When you are logged in you should see a link “Start New Story”. Click on it and you will come to a new page with a form to fill in. Give your story a good and matching title and write the beginning of the story. You will also have to decide how many characters each part of the story should consist of. Click on Submit and the new story will be created.
How can I end a story?
The only person that can end a story is the one who created the story. This is done by checking the “End story” box when submitting the ending. Make sure that you get a good ending because there is no way to continue and ended story.
How can I prevent others from posting while I'm writing?
When you are writing you should see some buttons below the text field. One of them has the text “Lock” on it. If you click on it you will see that a timer starting on 60 begins to count down. During that time you are the only one that are allowed to continue that story. The timer will automatically be restored to 60 each time you are typing into the text box so there is no need to manually update the lock even if you are writing quite a long text as long as you don't take a pause.
Where can I find stories I have been active in?
When you are logged in you should see a link “My Stories” in the menu. This link takes you to a page that lists all the stories started by you and all stories which you have been active in.
Someone has written something that is clearly not part of the story, what should I do?
The first thing you should do is to report the part of the story by clicking on the red and white icon with an exclamation mark right below the text and write a small explanation of what's wrong with this part of the story. If it's clear that it has nothing to do with the story what so ever you can safely continue the story if you like by just ignore the “bad” part. Note that the report function should only be used when someone is breaking the rules and not because you want the story to be in another way.
I've lost my password. Can I get it back?
No, you can't. We have no way of knowing that you actually are who you say you are. If you can't remember the password the only thing you can do is to create another account.
Can I write anything else than stories here?
No. This site is for stories only.
Are the stories true stories?
Probably not. Some authors might choose to put some truth into a story but overall the stories here are fictional.
